CHILDREN
Our Children's Ministry at First United Methodist Church provides a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can explore and grow in their faith. We strive to provide a place where children can fully live into who God created them to be. We provide engaging lessons and activities that will help children understand God's love for them. We also invite children to ask questions and explore their faith in a safe and comfortable setting. Our goal is for our children to feel seen, heard, and loved.

SUNDAY MORNINGS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR
CHILDREN'S CHURCH

While many children can and enjoy sitting with their families during worship, we know that an additional way to connect is helpful for some. During the 9:00 a.m. worship service, younger children are invited to leave the service for Children’s Church Children’s Church looks a lot like
church— singing, scripture, and an offering is collected.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
(Grades Preschool-5)
10:15am
Then at 10:15 there will be Sunday School for all ages. This year there will be three classes (preschoolers, K-2 grade, 3-5 grade). Children will learn bible stories using food, art, science, and drama. Older children will also begin to explore how the Bible came to be, what the Bible is (and isn’t), and why we base our faith on such an old book.

FAMILY WORSHIP

We believe worship is a core element of spiritual development for children and adults. Even though programming is offered at the 9:00am service, all children are welcome to attend all worship services.

NURSERY CARE

Nursery care is available on Sunday mornings during all services. We also offer nursery care during special events at the church for those who attend. Kids are loved, read to, given room to play, and learn about God’s love.

BAPTISM
(All Ages)
In the United Methodist Church, baptism begins a lifelong walk with Jesus Christ. Families take this first step by reaffirming their commitment, and young people continue the journey through Confirmation. Baptism is available for people of all ages. Depending on your preference, we can perform the ceremony using sprinkling, pouring, or immersion. The first step for a baptism is to contact

PARENTS NIGHT OUT
(Infant-5th Grade)
Drop off your kids for an evening of fun and treat
yourself to a much needed night off. Drop-off begins at 4:00 p.m., and pick-up is before 7:00 p.m.
A Childcare reservation before Thursday of the PNO weekend is required.

THEATRE & ARTS CAMP
(Grades K-5)
Step into a vibrant world inspired by Encanto, where kids discover how their unique gifts reflect God's love and purpose! At this fun and faith-filled camp, children explore Bible stories that celebrate individuality and family.
Through music, drama, art and set design, children will experience the power of imagination.
