Sunday School Classes
Growing in our faith together is an important part of First United Methodist Church. One way we grow together is by gathering in groups to study, connect, and pray together. People of all ages gather before worship for Sunday School. Whether you are a member or not, you are invited to visit any of our on-going adult Sunday school classes. Our current classes gather at 9:30 A.M., which makes it easy for you to also attend either the 8 A.M. or 11 A.M. worship services. Our adult classes meet in classrooms on the First and Second Floor of the South Wing.
In gathering together, we are transformed by God's grace through the study, praying, and fellowship of the class. We invite you to become part of one of our classes so that you may be transformed. Visitors are welcome in all classes.

This class of many ages enjoys a time of refreshment, friendly fellowship and study. They look forward to welcoming visitors. Bruce Phillips, who leads the Early Riser Chapel Worship Service, is teaching about the life of Jesus, the culture at that time and his relationships with the disciples based on stories from the Bible. They also enjoy frequent social events, and support various mission projects and student scholarships.

This class is a “practical application of Christianity by a group of people who know how difficult that is and who know they are less than perfect” (mission statement). One of class’s rules for the road together is: “assume good will” of each other. We welcome visitors to our group! For more information, contact Don McFadden at 719.963.2201.
United Methodist Women
Our UMW (United Methodist Women) offers many groups for learning, working together on craft projects, missions and more.
We offer special programs for our Senior Adults (age 50+). We call them N.O.A.H., which means Never Old At Heart. This group has breakfast meetings, banquets with great entertainment, special classes offered on topics pertinent to Seniors, and monthly Christian Fellowship trips.
