In our final Faith Academy this year, we will take a brief look at the Reformation, its leaders and movements. The Reformation was one of the most significant events in Church History, but we rarely discuss it. We will look at how it started, what happened, and what it means for us today.

Small Groups

We are forming new small groups each fall and spring. If you are interested in learning more, contact Dr. Todd Spencer at todds@fumc-cs.org or 719-471-8522 x131.

Questioning Explorers
Tuesdays, 9:30am | Room 133 South Wing | Becca Miller | becm719@hotmail.com

This group follows the annual book, Disciplines, from The Upper Room. Each participant uses the material so that daily Bible study becomes an on-going practice which is then explored during the group's weekly gathering time. For more about Disciplines, see: https://www.upperroom.org/disciplines . The group is open to new participants!

Women's Study Group: Lenten Study
Mondays, 3/6 - 4/10 | 9:30-11am | Prayer Room | LAS2735@hotmail.com

Our study for Lent will be Adam Hamilton's, Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws. This study explores the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus as told in the Gospel of Luke. Participants will need to purchase their own books. The book is available in both Kindle and hardback. Please contact Lori Smith at LAS2735@hotmail.com with any questions.

Sunday School Classes

Growing in our faith together is an important part of First United Methodist Church. One way we grow together is by gathering in groups to study, connect, and pray together. People of all ages gather before worship for Sunday School. Whether you are a member or not, you are invited to visit any of our on-going adult Sunday school classes. Our current classes gather at either 9:30am or 10:00am, which makes it easy for you to also attend one of our Worship Services at  8:00am, 9:00am or 11:00am.

In gathering together, we are transformed by God's grace through the study, praying, and fellowship of the class. We invite you to become part of one of our classes so that you may be transformed. Visitors are welcome in all classes.
