Downtown Campus Updates

Greetings, Church!

We are once again facing the need to limit our exposure to one another, and the virus.  We are seeing dramatically increasing numbers of cases and hospitalizations in our community.  We are seeing the highest numbers in our country since the epidemic began.  As good neighbors, citizens who love our community, we need to once again model a way of being safe in our city.

You Are Welcome Here

In a culture intent on blame, shame, and dividing the world into “us” and “them” we believe God has called First United Methodist Church to be a voice of unity. We believe in God’s love for all of creation and for all of humanity. We believe that God’s table is open to all. We believe the way in which we live together with our differences: our differing ideas, hopes, dreams, histories, and stories proclaim to the world that there is another way. Will you come? Pull up a chair, we are saving a place for you.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:38-39
