August 29, 2021 - Week 1
As I started studying for this sermon, I quickly jumped to "Love God, here's how." I quickly realized I was starting in the wrong place! Instead of talking about how, I realized the real question is "Love God?... Why?" It isn't a question they asked in ancient Judaism. They were raised with a specific understanding of God, their culture supported that understanding and in many ways required that understanding. We live in a very different world today. We are more likely to encounter people asking "Why Love God" than "How do we love God?"
