CHILDREN

Our Children's Ministry at First United Methodist Crutch provides a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can explore and grow in their faith. We strive to provide a place where children can fully live into who God created them to be. We provide engaging lessons and activities that will help children understand God's love for them. We also invite children to ask questions and explore their faith in a safe and comfortable setting. Our goal is for our children to feel seen, heard, and loved.

SUNDAY MORNINGS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

MUSIC
(Grades K-5)
9:00am

How many of us remember song lyrics even though we haven’t heard the song in years? So it is with the imprint religious music lays on our hearts. Solid Rock (and Roll) children’s music will begin to meet from 9:15-9:55 am. Children will be dismissed from 9:00 am Crossroads worship service. Children will play instruments, dance, and learn good ole’ church songs. Solid Rock (and Roll) participants will have the option to perform during worship.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
(Grades Preschool-5)
10:15am

Then at 10:15 there will be Sunday School for all ages. This year there will be three classes (preschoolers, K-2 grade, 3-5 grade). Children will learn bible stories using food, art, science, and drama. Older children will also begin to explore how the Bible came to be, what the Bible is (and isn’t), and why we base our faith on such an old book.

FAMILY WORSHIP

We believe worship is a core element of spiritual development for children and adults. Even though programming is offered at the 9:00am service, all children are welcome to attend all worship services.

NURSERY CARE
(Birth-Age 5)

8:00, 9:00, 11:00am

Nursery care is available on Sunday mornings during all services. We also offer nursery care during special events at the church for those who attend. Kids are loved, read to, given room to play, and learn about God’s love.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT

Being a parent is hard, like really hard. FUMC is here to help! Drop the kids off and have a night out. Sometimes on your own and sometimes with other fun folks from church. Families with children from infant-5th grade are invited to attend.
