New Class for Parents
Parents room in Kingdom City

Dr. Todd Spencer is forming a new adult Sunday school class with parents especially in mind. Kick off is Sunday, September 26th. This class meets during the same 10am time slot as Children's Music and Youth Sunday School. Participants can easily worship during the 9am or 11am worship services. Kerygma Class

This Fall 2021, Rev. Khan McClellan is leading Kerygma is a 4- to 6-week study of Barbara Brown Taylor’s book “Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others.” Google describes the book: The renowned Christian preacher and New York Times bestselling author of “An Altar in the World” recounts her moving discoveries of finding the sacred in unexpected places while teaching world religions to undergraduates in Baptist-saturated rural Georgia, revealing how God delights in confounding our expectations.

Bruce Phillips teaches this class in a lecture style Bible study format. This Fall 2021, the class is currently studying the letters of Paul and then will be studying the Gospel of Matthew. Women's Study Group: Exploring Ways of Contemplative Prayer
Mondays, 9:30-11am

Starting on October 25th
Important note: As there are participants in this group who have underlying health conditions that put them at extreme health risk with regards to Covid-19, this women's study group is strictly limited to those who have already been vaccinated.
This series will cover numerous contemplative prayer topics and practices, such as: Lectio Divina, Ignation/Examen Prayer, Centering Prayer, Celtic Liturgy, The Welcoming Prayer, Prayer of Forgiveness and Advent Prayer.
