TV Ministry

TV Ministry beginnings date back to the early 1960s but it was not until 1980 that it was re-established and further developed by Dr. Trigg, Senior Minister of the church at the time. One of the hopes of the congregation then was to develop TV Ministry into a viral outreach ministry that served the community and specially those unable to attend worship services or participate in other events at the church. With the very generous help of some families in the church, new cameras and video equipment were purchased. And with the assistance of a video engineer, volunteers were trained to operate this equipment. Less than two years later, Dr. Trigg was approached by Larry Douglas, manager of Fox station inviting us to join their lineup. That was the beginning of our weekly live broadcast as we enjoy it today.

Since then, TV Ministry has made it possible for everyone in our community to faithfully worship with us at First United Methodist Church. Our vision is to keep growing in service to you and improving what we do every Sunday by acquiring new video equipment to keep up with the ever-changing technology so that we are able to continue offering this great worship opportunity.
