Introduction to the New Testament: An Overview of Christian Scriptures
Leader: Rev. Kent Ingram
Scripture 101, Room 133 S
We love to study the words of Scripture. We find them comforting, challenging, instructive and confusing. It is helpful, however, to step back and see the books in their larger context. We will spend time in this class looking at the broader perspective of the whole New Testament, to see what kinds of literature we have and how it all fits together. Armed with this knowledge, we can go deeper in our own personal study of scripture.
From Epworth to City Road Chapel
Leader: Rev. Jerry Hurst
Tradition 302, Room 233 S
Many members have asked Jerry to repeat his class on John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church. In 2013, Jerry and his wife, Lynn, took an educational tour in England of the life of John Wesley. Jerry will present pictures, taken by him, and historical facts of John Wesley’s birthplace and other important sites of Wesley’s ministry. These four weeks will give you a great look at our founder’s life and the theology he brought to us.
