Sunday Mornings

9:00 am - 9:30 am              BREAKFAST CLUB in THE ZONE
Hosted by Lynda Singmaster & Heather Pairan

Join us for a bite to eat, game to play, catching up with friends, making new ones, or an early morning nap. Cereal, snacks, juice, even waffles. Our gracious hosts Lynda and Heather continue to love us, by feeding our stomachs. Life is already hard; so don’t make it harder, by skipping breakfast.

9:30 am - 10:30 am            YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS, HIBBARD HALL

  Song & Scripture/Scene & Verse
                                           Led by Zach Walker

This Youth Sunday School class focuses on being intentional. Intentionally listen to God, for God, and seeing him anywhere and everywhere. We take the songs that make it on the radio.  Listen for what God can teach us through others, as we share scripture, ideas, and stories, that not only inspire, but remind us that God is not just at Church.

10:30 am - 11:00 am          HANG TIME in THE ZONE
The Zone closes at 11:00 am

CROSSWALK TALK WITH ZACH

I am humbled and amazed already by the love and support y’all (Texan) have shown me.  Excitement, hope, and peace are my main emotions these days. I am excited to meet you, lead you, grow with you, and serve alongside you. As a graduate of this wonderful program I feel like I have so many ideas to bring, and yet after meeting the YAT team, I realize you had them all too. Lastly, I am at peace knowing I am suppose to be here, discerning a call is never easy, but my journey to this place will hopefully make me a better Minister. I still have a lot of learning to do, a lot of growing to do, but I know I am where I belong. I am not here to drastically change this place, just share my passion for God and for students… there are a few things that I hope will never change: Inviting, Serving, and Digging.

Keep Looking Up!

Youth & Adult LYM Gatherings

YOUTH ADVISORY TEAM (YAT) MEETINGS
Sunday, September 24, 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm, The Zone

Sunday, October 22, 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm, The Zone

Every so many weeks a few of us gather to reflect on past youth events and plan upcoming gatherings. We will eat, reflect on how the fall is going so far, and look forward to upcoming events including the winter retreat. The YAT would love to add your voice to the plans!

LYM GROWING GATHERING

Leaders are learners. Each youth ministry volunteer is asked to continue growing together with God and our team on behalf of our teenagers and church. We will take this opportunity to hear a presentation on an important topic facing teenagers and have an un-hurried conversation — which is just not possible during the normal course of our activities. Thank you, leaders, for your faithfulness! Schedule of meetings dates to come soon.

September

HOW COULD I EVER FORGIVE YOU?!?!
Wednesday, September 13, 6:30  pm - 8:30 pm, The Zone (Meal Included)

It is difficult, it is exhausting, but it is necessary. After dinner, games, and some music, we will explore how and why we should forgive. We look to Matthew 18 to help us understand forgiveness, and acting out Jesus’ principles. After some large group time we will break up into small groups as we continue to get to know the value of grace and mercy better.

HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO PRAY?
Wednesday, September 20, 6:30  pm - 8:30 pm, The Zone (Meal Included)

After dinner, games, and music we will be exploring the beauty of prayer. We as people are not all the same, so it is no surprise that we interact we God differently. Tonight we will try new prayers, old prayers, and being present to God then break into small group time to get to know one another and how to pray, a little better.

HOW DO WE SHOW THAT WE ARE CHRISTIANS? (By Our Love)
Wednesday, September 27, 6:30 pm  - 8:30 pm, Meet in The Zone
Bring $ for a fast food meal

Tonight, they will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, yes they’ll know we are Christians by our love. We will be heading out for Random Acts of Kindness, before it gets too cold. Small gestures can make big impacts on the lives of our neighbors. Tonight, we won’t be reading scripture, rather, we will act it out. Be sure to bring $ for food as we will be eating on the go.
