Caring Ministries
Caring Ministries encompasses many places to serve through activities that touch our congregation in their day-to-day lives and reach out to them in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Grief Follow Up When a person has experienced the loss of a loved one we offer assistance and care through our Stephen Ministers. A book series, "Journeying Through Grief" is used during the first year to help guide and support one through the initial year of transition following a death.
Card Ministry The birthdays and anniversaries of the older adults in our congregation are remembered with cards and notes sent by this group of volunteers.
Flowers of Love When flowers are left at the church from an event in the sanctuary the arrangements are taken apart by this wonderful group and divided into separate vases and given to our home-bound members.
Home Communion Servers Home-bound members are seen every month and served communion by trained communion servers in their own homes. This group of volunteers touches the lives of others by sharing one of our most sacred sacraments with them in a loving manner.
Home-bound Visitation A regular caller visits church members who have become home-bound. These caring visits demonstrate to members that we care and have the time to show them our love and concern.
Hospital Visitation Persons who are hospitalized and have notified the church that they are in the hospital are visited daily by this dedicated group of volunteers.
Stephen Ministry This one-to-one support ministry is provided to those dealing with a particularly difficult time in their lives. Each Stephen Minister is prepared with 50 hours of training and participates in peer supervision monthly while seeing their care receiver confidentially. Applications for this process may be obtained through the Associate Minister of Caring and Mission Ministries
