Treasures & Celebrations...
Christmas Treasures Event, Saturday, Dec. 3, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
Christmas Treasures gives children the opportunity to learn the real meaning of Christmas giving by creating gifts for loved ones. Parents are invited to take this time to go out and do their own Christmas shopping! This year’s event will include a very special opportunity for our children to make gift card sets to be given to military children with a parent deployed. Each set will contain cards for the upcoming holidays that the children can send during the coming year to their parent serving overseas.
Christmas Eve Celebration, Saturday, Dec. 24, 10-11 am
This year our celebration will tell the true story of the first nativity set and include a beautiful presentation of Nativities from the around the world. We will end with a VERY special surprise for our children! You will not want to miss this celebration!!!!
Hope for the Holidays...
For Children with a Deployed Parent
Thursday, December 15, 5:30—7:00 pm
Led by Rev. Dr. Leanne Hadley, this will be a special time when children will be able to enjoy dinner, meet other children with a deployed parent, create a special holiday gift for their deployed parent, and make an ornament to be hung on the Christmas Tree to honor their deployed parent. Plus we will have a very special “camouflage” dessert to end the evening in a “sweet” way!
For Grieving Children & Teens
Friday, December 9, 6—8:00 pm
Also led by Rev. Dr. Leanne Hadley, this will be a special night when children and teens who have lost a loved one will gather for pizza, have a special “Holiday Hunt” for the keys to finding peace during the holidays, and make a special ornament designed to help them honor their loved one. Plus, they will have time to meet other kids who have also lost loved ones.
