The children at First United Methodist are very missions-oriented. Whether it's gathering pennies for "Pennies for Peace" to support schools in Afghanistan (we raised $11,000), filling a trailer with food during Lent for ESM (check us out on www.ecusocmin.org), or raising money for Nothing but Nets to help prevent the spread of malaria in Africa.... we always have our hearts open and hands outstretched to love our neighbors around the world and here in our own community. Come serve with us!

Fall Mission - School Kits

In countries around the world many children don't have books or school supplies. Many have no schoolrooms; classes are held in inadequate or half-destroyed buildings, tents, or even the open air. School kits provided through relief organizations may be these children's only educational resource.

We are asking the children of the congregation to bring school items and their offerings for School Kits.

As you are buying for your child’s school needs, please add one or more of these items to your cart and have your child bring them to church!

Supplies Needed:

● blunt scissors


(rounded tip only, no plastic scissors please)

● pads of paper (spiral or top bound)

● Hand held pencil sharpener 


● 30 centimeter ruler 


● 6 unsharpened pencils


● 21/2 inch eraser

● 24 count box of crayons
