Women’s Ministry
Have you ever felt that somehow, no one really knows you? Have you longed to belong with a community of people who love the real you? God not only invented community, God IS community. At First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs our church community's passion is to see women of all ages flourish in every season of life. Jesus said, "Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. As he scattered them across the field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn't have deep roots, they died. Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and chocked out tender plants. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand." ..Matthew 13: 3b-9 New Living Translation United Methodists are called to be like this unconventional farmer, tossing seeds of the Good News around everywhere in our lives. This means we embrace all women. Our programs empower women to excel, to experience authentic community, and to grow followers of Jesus Christ. Each heading below expresses an aspect of our vision for Women's Ministry.
